Bedfordshire women to use condoms?

Bedfordshire women are being told of the contraception choices available to them, which include the condom and femidom.

The information day has been organised by the Terence Higgins Trust and it is to celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day.

In conjunction with sexual health charity Brook, the Bedford facility runs full sexually transmitted infections testing and also stocks a range of contraceptive methods.

Service manager Sarah Cadwallader said: "When it comes to contraception, the choices can be bewildering and a little confusing, so getting input from specialised staff is absolutely key."

Once people have made their way to the clinic, they may decide to go and buy condoms online for the next time they want to have sex.

From October to December last year, the centre saw 1,852 people, with 85 per cent of these being females.

The Terrence Higgins Trust is the biggest HIV and sexual health charity in the UK.
