A Chinese man has married a sex doll in order to enjoy having a wedding before he dies due to terminal cancer. Rather than marry a woman and leave behind a widow when he dies, the man - whose name has not been revealed - underwent the ceremony with a sex doll, posting photos online.

Dressing the realistic sex doll up in a wedding dress, tiara and veil, the 'newlyweds' posed in a variety of ways for professional photos. Looking just like any other just-married couple, the pictures were surprisingly tender, if still a bit strange.

To make the images and the day as realistic as possible, the groom provided a number of dresses for his 'bride', including a long purple, prom-style dress and a strapless mermaid wedding gown. He even went so far as to hire a professional to do the doll's hair and makeup in preparation for the big day.

Each of the photos looks as though it has come out of a typical wedding album, with the only thing giving away the fact that they aren't actually a real married couple being the doll's vacant features. Although she is remarkably life-like, it is easy to see at first glance that the images aren't all they seem to be.

While the 28-year-old man hasn't been identified, internet users in China have begun to guess as to why the images have been posted. Some believe that it is a marketing campaign, while others think it is a prank.

However, CCTV News reported: "Some netizens recently revealed that the man is actually suffering from a deadly cancer.

"In order not to hurt other people’s feelings, he chose to marry an artificial doll instead of a real person."

The images come as the popularity of realistic sex dolls continues to increase among men in China. Many married men keep sex dolls in their city apartments to keep them company when they are working away from their families during the week, but none have gone as far as the groom in these images.
