Condoms needed by London residents?
People in London need to take their sexual health seriously and buy condoms.
Research carried out by the British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (Bashh) found there has been a 21 per cent rise in cases of genital warts in the area between 2000 and 2009, the Press Association reports.
The NHS is now spending some £45 million a year trying to tackle the problems associated with the sexually transmitted infection (STI).
Dr Liz Foley, who conducted the research, said: "The misery of genital warts could be largely eradicated if young people were given the quadrivalent HPV vaccine."
Those who want to protect themselves from the STI may want to consider buying condoms.
Bashh remarked sexually active individuals cannot afford to turn a blind eye to the issue and should take the proper precautions.
It comes after schoolchildren in Massachusetts were given condoms for free to help encourage safe sex, wickedlocal.com revealed.
