Drinkers 'more likely to have sex at start of relationship'
Carrying a condom is something men heading on a date would always be wise to consider - but this may be especially true if their potential partner is a drinker.
This is because statistics provided by OKCupid have revealed both men and women are more likely to sleep with each other if they enjoy a drink or two, the Daily Mail reports.
According to the findings, those who have a tipple are 60 per cent more likely to put out after just a few meetings.
Christian Rudder, founder of the online dating site, noted this applies to both straight and gay individuals and the expert used profiles and interactions of millions of users to identify consumption as a useful indicator of whether or not people are inclined to a spot of casual sex.
The OKtrends blog read: "Whether someone likes the taste of beer is the single best predictor of if he or she has sex on the first date."
