Florida students told of importance of safe sex

Individuals at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) may be likely to buy condoms online.

This is because the education facility has put on a special HIV and Aids conference designed to show the importance of safe sex to its students, WCTV.tv reports.

Tanya Tatum, director of FAMU health, noted the meeting is a good opportunity for individuals to get the right information so they can make informed decisions.

"What you want to do is ingrain kind of good, healthy behaviours so that they can avoid becoming infected with sexually transmitted infections or HIV and start to live some healthier lifestyles," she added.

What people may not realise is that condoms are the best preventative method for both of these problems.

A session was held that dealt with the issue of the prophylactic device and showed them how to use it properly.

An article recently posted on Patch.com by Leslie Sharpe said teenagers considering having sex need to make sure they use condoms.
