GFEST 2010 comes to London

Gaywise Festival 2010 - a cross-arts event held in London every year - is to take place between November 8th and the 21st, with a variety of cultural delights to be put on.

Anyone up for the fiesta - organised by arts charity Wise Thoughts - will find entertainment in a number of forms, ranging from workshops, parties, theatre, short films and dance and performance, all hosted by young, fresh, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender artists.

Visual arts exhibitions include The 15 Minutes of SAME-SEX Kiss at Westminster Reference Library, with images taken from a live installation at Trafalgar Square by Niranjan Kamatkar.

And performances to be taken in include 40 Years A Queen from Peter Scott-Presland, a cabaret show featuring songs, satire and personal revelations.

Meanwhile, the streets of St Petersburg could soon be awash with flags and condom balloons, with UK Gay News recently reporting that the authorities have ruled Gay Pride festivities must be permitted in the future.
