Individuals 'need to use protection' during sex
People who are going to have sex need to make sure they use the proper protection, one expert has claimed, which may see some buy condoms online.
Lisa Power, policy director at Terrence Higgins Trust, noted a lot of individuals feel pressurised into having relations.
"After you've done it, if you do it, get a sexual health check. If we did all of that, we'd have a sexually much healthier society," she added.
This is because they are still the best way to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections.
The Terrence Higgins Trust is a sexual health charity and it recently launched a course in Shropshire designed to help people living with HIV.
It comes after a study by Lausanne University Hospital found older people are less likely to wear condoms.
