A new vibrator promises to deliver the best orgasm ever by helping women to understand their sex drive. The sex toy, which is being funded by a new Indiegogo campaign, uses smart technology to track data while the vibrator is in use.

The Lioness vibrator aims to allow women to get to grips with exactly what they want from sex, including things like how long they should ideally spend on foreplay in order to achieve orgasm.

Sensors embedded inside the sex toy transfer the data to smartphones via an app, which allows the user to track their usage and responses. The data will be anonymous and encrypted, ensuring all user's information is kept private.

The sensors can track temperature, favoured positions and contractions to measure a woman's response to the stimulation. This then allows it to make recommendations for future use to allow for even better orgasms.

Data collected will also allow users to better understand how their sex drive is affected by things like the time of day, a woman's menstrual cycle and even their mood. This data can also be shared with a partner if the user chooses to help inform their joint sex life.

Co-founder of the Lioness toy, Liz Klinger, said of her inspiration behind the vibrator: "I grew up in a conservative family. We never talked about sex.

"I wanted to create a vibrator that could empower women to learn more about their bodies."

The sex toy will cost users $230 (£158) but promises to be worth it, especially as it can run continuously for around 45 minutes. It also doesn't use Bluetooth while in use, as it has an automatic shutdown, which will please those concerned about being connected while using their toy.

Lioness toys are due to go into production in May after achieving double its funding target from investors through its online campaign.
