One Direction: It is always good to carry condoms

One Direction have given their seal of approval to the use of condoms, claiming carrying the products is a wise move.

The popular boy band - who shot to fame on hit reality television show X Factor - told OK magazine that they support they idea of safe sex, Sugar Scope reports.

Member of the group Louis Tomlinson said: "It's always a good idea to carry one though, because things can easily happen in the heat of the moment."

Despite their approval of the prophylactics, the boys - whose debut album is entitled Up All Night, featuring the singles What Makes You Beautiful and Gotta Be You - claimed they are unlikely to follow in the steps of fellow former X Factor contestants JLS and bring out their own brand of condoms.

Zayn Malik suggested having your own range could be a little embarrassing - but added it is a positive move for the band to endorse being safe between the sheets.
