People 'should use condoms' when giving oral sex

Individuals may want to consider buying condoms after the dangers of unsafe oral sex were made clear.

Incidences of cancer of the tonsils and the base of the tongue have been increasing since 1973, Fox21 Online reports.

This means both men and women may like to find out where to buy condoms in order to prevent against the Human Papillomavirus, or HPV as it is more commonly known.

"The experts agree that it is critical for the public to understand that oral sex doesn't equal safe sex," the news provider observed.

As well as the transmission of HPV, chlamydia and gonorrhoea can also be spread if people decide to practice oral sex without a prophylactic device.

A major study in the US found 60-to-70 per cent of all tonsil cancers in the country are HPV related.

The Dumfries and Galloway Standard recently revealed an initiative has been launched that will see men tested for chlamydia in their local pub.
