Ricky Martin calls for same-sex marriage to be legalised in Puerto Rico

Men looking to buy gay condoms online may be interested to hear that Ricky Martin has spoken out against Puerto Rico's stance on same-sex marriages.

The openly homosexual singer has explained that he would love to make his three-year relationship official and tie the knot, Bang Showbiz reports.

However, he stated: "Unfortunately, we don't have the option of marriage in our country. We could go to Britain or Spain or Argentina … but that's not what I want."

The father-of-two remarked that he does not want to be seen as a "second-class citizen" but instead be able to say I do on the island where he was born.

Martin kept his sexuality hidden from the press for a number of years before admitting he was gay earlier this year.

He had a string of UK hits following his break through single Livin' La Vida Loca, which was released in 1999.
