Ronaldinho 'hopes to raise safe sex awareness'
Ronaldinho is hoping to promote safe sex practices by lending his backing to a new condom campaign.
The Brazilian footballer - now playing for Atletico Mineiro in his homeland - has agreed to launch his own brand of the prophylactic, adding it is great to be involved in an initiative that has health as its primary focus, NESN reports.
Ronaldinho's signature and the crest of Atletico Mineiro are to appear on the packaging of the condoms. The superstar announced the news on his Facebook page and posted: "I hope everyone has an awareness that sex without condoms, no way."
The condom has been named Sex Free and is the latest effort by the former Barcelona and AC Milan man's attempts to spread the message about safe sex. In 2011, he looked to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS by forming a partnership with the United Nations and Brazil's Ministry of Health.
