Seasonal sauciness on the cards for more than half of Brits
After a day of presents, pudding, Christmas television and tinsel, it would appear that more than half of British adults like to bring their Christmas Day to a, ahem, climax by getting down and dirty with their partner.
According to research by Durex Embrace Pleasure Gels, two-thirds of individuals feel the lack of quality time they get with their better half at Christmas leaves them craving intimacy after 11pm on 25th.
One in ten even like to mark the occasion with a bit of seasonal wear, by donning Santa hats before slipping between the sheets!
With one-fifth of couples reckoning that sex is better at Christmas than at any other time of the year, perhaps it's time to invest in condoms and have a very Merry Sexmas indeed.
Half of people admit they are more loving with their partners at this time of year, leading them to have sex at least three times during Christmas week.
Susan Quilliam, Durex Embrace Pleasure Gels sex and relationship expert, explained a potential reason for this surge in sauciness.
''The long Christmas break gives couples more one-on-one time with each other than at any other season - so it's no surprise that the survey reports that couples head for the bedroom at Christmas, to reconnect emotionally and sexually," she said.
