Sexual health clinic to open in Erdington

Femidoms and XL condoms could well be accessed with greater ease now an Erdington-based sexual health clinic is to open on November 1st.

According to the Sutton Coldfield Observer, the New Attitudes contraception and sexual health service is holding an open day on October 29th so the public can discover the benefits of the programme for themselves.

Advice leaflets and free goodies will be available for visitors on this day, as well as passersby, while Birmingham's sexual health bus will be parked outside.

The nurse-led centre is to be open six days a week, with a drop-in service offered, covering a range of sexual health concerns such as pregnancy testing, emergency contraception and sexually transmitted infection checks and treatment.

In September, the parliamentary under-secretary of state for public health, Anne Milton, paid the Erdington Health and Wellbeing Walk-in Centre a visit, before meeting with staff from NHS Birmingham East and North to discuss the future of health services.
