South Africa porno 'has safe sex message'

The first all-black porn film to come out of South Africa carries with it a safe sex message, the producers have said, with actors wearing condoms in the most explicit scenes.

Speaking to the Guardian, Tau Morena explained that he was particularly conscious of promoting responsible behaviour as South Africa struggles to cope with HIV, which kills almost 1,000 people in the country a day.

Noting that he is not about to make any "grand claims" regarding the movie as it is "hardcore adult entertainment", Mr Morena stated that there is a "gentle message" regarding safe sex and this is one way to broadcast information and education on the matter.

Entitled Mapona - which translates as Naked in SeSotho - the picture was made in response to demand from the 30,000-strong membership base of porn site Sondeza.

Fans of the flick can head to Facebook to express their admiration of the work, which was released on September 23rd.
