Swansea is UK's casual sex capital
When it comes to casual sex, Swansea appears to, er, dominate the rest of the UK, having been named the capital city for one night stands.
Edinburgh and Birmingham romped their way to joint second place, while London followed behind.
The survey commissioned by the Pharmacy2U Online Doctor service found that one in five adults in the Welsh city had a one-night-only liaison over Christmas, which was more than twice the national average (seven per cent).
While Newcastle might claim to be one of the party capitals of the nation, just four per cent of individuals there state they had one night stands over the festive period.
Meanwhile, 15 per cent of under-25s claimed to have done so, suggesting such behaviour is more common among the younger generations.
Dr Nitin Shori, medical director of Pharmacy2U Online Doctor, warned of the dangers of not using condoms and risking STI infection when having such 'brief encounters'. He said: "The new year is a notorious time for STI cases and we're preparing for a busy month."
